First in Serbia:
D Parcel Locker Project

In 2020, the courier service D Express introduced a unique, innovative, and at that moment essential service on the market – D Paketomat (parcel locker) – and we were there to help unlock its full potential.

The option of contactless parcel delivery at a time when social distancing was the safest health precaution, combined with the convenience of picking up packages at a chosen time and place, proved to be a recipe for success that was further materialized through a blend of digital and offline activities.

From creating the brand name and slogan, through the design and development of the logo, to the branding of the parcel lockers themselves, managing PR communication, and digitally positioning the new service, it was a true pleasure to leave our mark on such a project.

It all began with the challenge of naming a service that was first on the market, little known in the region, and certainly on the competitors’ radar. We seized a rare opportunity to patent a name that describes the product’s purpose as the brand itself. From the very beginning, it was clear that the D Paketomat slogan would address the most common challenge in receiving a package: waiting for the courier and the inability to choose the delivery time.

The landing page design and the digital announcement of the new service (with a series of teasers) were the next step. As the network of parcel lockers expanded across the country and beyond original locations at gas stations, the need for support in PR communications and branding of the lockers grew.

Although D Express is always focused on innovation and sustainability, and the development of the D Paketomat service is part of strategic goals and the result of years of planning, a major factor in the project’s success has been the users themselves.

As the community support team on social media for this project, we can confidently say that we firsthand experienced how users reacted, the volume of ongoing requests for new parcel lockers, and all the additional benefits of the service that recipients encountered.
